Great River B & B The property is a pioneer Swedish stone cottage built in 1869 by the co-founder of the village of Stockholm. From our large screened in porch we offer peace and solitude on 43 acres of lawn, woods, and open meadow over looking Lake Pepin (the Mississippi River). The two- story cottage as shown here is rented for the exclusive use of only one party (one or two people only) ensuring absolute privacy. When we have guests, we stay at our nearby second home, and return in the morning to prepare a light breakfast if desired. The editors of Midwest Living magazine selected us as one of their personal favorite “special places” in the upper Midwest.
