An evening of food, wine and support for the arts in Stockholm. Exquisite food, entertainment from this year's recipients and breathtaking auction items.

On Saturday, August 7th, starting at 6:30 PM, the annual Arts fundraiser will be held at "The Cottage in the Corn", Judith Van Cleve's rural Stockholm retreat.

The evening will feature a festive menu from our renowned restaurants and bakeries accompanied by an exciting “Tasting” venue featuring gourmet cheeses, world class wines, craft beers, artisan ciders and handcrafted chocolate from the shops of Stockholm…

Join in the sweepstakes of exquisite items from local artists, the famous “Wall of Wine” a $1,000 Stockholm Shopping Spree, a Lake Pepin “Foodie Tour” and much more!

Topping it all off will be delightful entertainment in music, film and comedy from the 2010 recipients of the funds raised by the "Taste of Stockholm."

The funds raised from the "Taste of Stockholm" will go towards three arts events and/or organizations – The Flyway Film Festival, WideSpot Performing Arts & Community Project, and Midsommer 2011: Return of the Swedes.

Tickets for the $1000.00 Shopping Spree are available now in shops throughout the Village of Stockholm. Tickets for the raffle are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets will also be available at the Taste event for the shopping spree and many other outstanding prizes.

Location: “Cabin in the Corn" Stockholm WI

"Cabin in the Corn" was designed to utilize sustainable building salvage, most notably beautiful stained glass windows from a Wisconsin rural church. The residence sits amid rolling fields of corn and under a 180-degree sky. The views from all directions are classic and unobstructed.

Flyway Film Festival

The Flyway Film Festival will be celebrating its third year October 21 – 24, 2010. The Festival screens both short and feature-length films – dramatic, comedic and documentary. The Festival also boasts appearances by directors, actors and well-known industry insiders.

WideSpot Performing Arts Center & Community Project

WideSpot opened its doors on October 17, 2009 and has hosted a variety of entertainment including members of the Minnesota Orchestra, the Guthrie's Steven Epp, The Rose Ensemble's Lisa Drew, and many more notable performers. The WideSpot Performing Arts and Community Project strives to serve the diverse audience and artists within its community by presenting performing art pieces designed to engage the mind, body and spirit. We endeavor to nurture the unique connection between performer, audience and community, and foster an environment that provokes thought, creativity, collaboration and community building.

Midsommer 2011: Return of the Swedes

Returning in the summer of 2011 is the Bjurtjarn theatre troupe from Sweden. In 2006, 85 Swedes initiated a pilgrimage to Wisconsin to perform an emotion-filled play about their Bjurtjarn, Sweden, ancestors who settled Stockholm. They will be returning to perform the play.
